The design process for UX improvements of non-authenticated and credit plan features

Client: Major Telecom Client

Role: Sr. UX/UI Designer

Project Details:

Improve the user experience of the payment flow for the non-authenticated users and the credit plan flow for the post-paid users. Gather the requirements, create the user flows, and redesign the UI of the screens following the Digital Home predefined patterns to elevate the user experience.

Tools Used:

Adobe XD, Figma, Axure RP, FigJam, Adobe Illustrator, MS Teams

Contribution:

Requirement analysis, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes.

The Challenge

A complete redesign of the user experience of the digital home account management for the non-authenticated payment and credit plan payments flows.

Challenge Accepted

The features demanded a complete redesign of the user experience and should align with the existing components of the design system.

Approach

Analyze the requirements and estimate timelines by understanding the existing workflow. Redesign the user experience by implementing the necessary changes to the workflow and elevate the user experience by redesigning the UI and maintaining consistency with existing design system components.

Retrospective

I enjoyed collaborating with other designers, researchers, developers, architects, product owners, and various levels of management. I improved my skills in questioning and requirements gathering while working with the product owners, management, and design peers. I enjoyed and learned about different systems how they work here. I lead the whiteboarding sessions to craft and understand the workflows that came into use while simplifying the UX and prototyping of the flows. The constructive feedback that I received from my design peers, management, and business helped me to create better designs. I successfully achieved the challenges that I accepted during my tenure. By the end of this project, I learned FigJam and added it to my skillset. I excelled in my skills in Adobe XD and Axure RP.
